Just saw Trans Siberian Orchestra in philadelphia. That was the greatest concert I ever saw/heard. When I was 12 Santana played my high school auditorium for $4..., weeks b4 there first album came out...... , I saw Mahavishnu back in the day( the warm up was Gentle Giant) , Yes right after Bruford left (and many times thereafter) Dream Theater, I think I seen all the artsy fartsy guys at one time or another. The light show was way beyond anything I ever saw, the musicianship was amazing (the guitar and electric violin well that was some serious shredding it up) the drummer did an amazing short 4, 5 minute solo that got the whole crowd clapping along and rocked .He seemed to be in the same ballpark technically with Mike Portnoy and some of the other greats.When they were loud and heavy it was incredible.....it was Krakatoa , it was continents aborning.....my ears are still ringing......at the end they introduced a special guest Jon Anderson of Yes and they did Roundabout with him. I give it 10 stars out of 5.........no matter how great it just was the next bit took it up a notch and it went on like that for 2 and a half hours.
