Ok, at least now i know that the problem is with the maxtor. When i have the HP working fine & plug in the maxtor, it ejects the HP. When i have the ipod working fine & plug in the maxtor, it ejects the ipod.

& that's the last time i buy a maxtor. i guess that's why they're soo cheap.

It’s got to be a computer issue….
What about plugging in the Maxtor first then the others?
Have you try contacting tech support for your laptop?

It's the maxtor, the laptop even works with 2-30 GB ipods, a 160GB HP Hard drive & my soundcard are plugged in. That's all four ports. The moment i plug in the maxtor, all other hard drives stop working.

Just bought a 320GB My Book by Western Digital & i've just finished doing my backup(synchronizing at the same time) just like i wanted. Verdict>Maxtor = crap. I now officially have a 100GBmaxtor paperweight for one of my relatives to see & borrow.
I had already started doubting my laptop which has been glitch free for 2 years. Maxtor made me re-install windows. Freakin cheap shit. I could have used that time to perfect my scratching. Anyway, thanks for all the help guys and now back to mixing.
