Man .... I am getting realy p!ssed off with this MK2 and VDJ.
Let me explain. I bought a MK2 and got VDJ 3.2 with it. The beat matching on 3.2 is crap and it ignores my gain settings. So i upgraded to 3.4 to see if it will help. This helps in the sense that I can at least play 3 tracks before the gain settings go for a loop again ( some help that 3.4 upgrade was ). So after reading the forums I decided to download ver 4 on 20 day demo and try it.
Things just get worse !!!!!!!
Now if I use the bass, treble and mid range to feed the tracks into each other there's a huge noise everytime you turn the knobs. Sliding the volume up and down has the same effect. Even sliding them in the software interface with a mouse makes a noise. The noise is almost like having a mixer with dirty sliding contacts.
If I could return this stuff for a full refund I would have done so a loooooong time ago. Better to spend your money on decent mixer and some CD decks !
I doubt if I will get any reply to this request but I hope some people looing to buy this setup read this and rather go spend their hard earned cash else where.

i feel you are using a cracked copy of version 4 and 3.4 and this is at the heart of your problems.....
if you want pro results be a pro and buy the program!

ChristoC I feel your pain, i've been having the same problems and no solutions, I've been unable to make some money because my sound quality sucks and I'm still waiting for an update from either hercules or virtual. I feel like I wasted my money, I might just go back to the original tables

I'm not sure if the problems I'm having are the same or not. I can't get songs to beat match to save my life. And before anyone starts in on beat matching, I've been a DJ with turntables and cd players for 20 years and I know how to beat match. I've tried matching manually and with the Sync button and it doesn't matter, the songs will not beat match. Didn't have this problem with the initial version I purchased. I too have issues with the sound quality. I can have the gains matched and still the volume drops off significantly when cross fading. Can I go back to the original version I purchased or is there something that can be done to fix this soon? I only use VDJ to play smaller parties and to do some recording and remixing, but those have all come to a halt because of these issues.

I believe I solved the problem with some adjustments to soundcard and also re-read the manual and discovered changes that I needed to make..
