Hey, is there a way to get it not to pop up (as in become the foreground window) every time you open a song in it?

i dont think u can dissable that behaviour in options :(
u could google the registery changes needed
but remember reg changes can cause serious problems if they go wrong !

You should then also be able to browse and find VDJ.
If you want, check the always open this time of file with this program box, to open every song with VDJ or whichever program you choose

In Media player go to:
Tools>Options>Player>"Keep the player on top of other windows" < disable this option :))
