try exact audio copy, its free and should do the trick.

when you use exact audio copy, tip the cd as an image which will mean it rips the whole cd as 1 track.

Sony Acid will do that and much much more....

$400 just to rip CDs seems a little excessive to me, but then again, that could just be me. There are quite a few shareware and freeware programs to do the same thing. Try using AudioGrabber, or my personal favorite, CDex. Go to www.download.com to download either one.

I've done this very task many times using Audiograbber... if you're using it and don't know how to force the program to see one long track, let me know and I'll walk you through it.

You can also use Apple iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/). Just go to Advanced/Join CD Tracks then import the CD

Here is exactly how to do it:
Using audiograbber(1.83 at least thats what I have and the lame encoder)
Say you want to start with track #1 and end with track #8.
Step 1>
double click the track you want to start with.
after double clicking on track 1,find where it says:
"SECTORS" look at the start point (called "First", which is usually 0. you can write it down, or just keep that the same.
Hit cancel.
Step 2>
Go to the track you want it to end with, which we are using track #8.
Double click track#8
Go to the "SECTORS" section.
In the box that it says "LAST",
Highlight and Copy that number,
the cd I have in my drive says 115030 for a number.(don't use that particular number! :)
Hit cancel.
Step 3>
Go back to track #1 and in the "Last" box, paste the number you got from the track you want it to end with.
Hit apply.
You can now rip it and check it out afterwards.
Enjoy!

here is a similar question, if I'm making a mix tape (cd obviously), live, yet I don't want it to be one long continuous track, how do I go about setting track maks, using whatever means necessary? for example, I want to give a club owner a demo CD, but I want to be able to make track 1, track 2, etc so he can easily cut to the next song if he wants instead of fast forwarding the disc. what are everyone's thought?
