HI ALL
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING INTO GETTING A HERCULES MK2 OR BHERRINGER PC MIXER AS MY HERC MK1 BUTTONS ARE NOT RESPONDING EVERY TIME.
I FIGURED IT MUST BE THE CONTACTS ON THE BUTTONS
I JUST FOUND THE SOLUTION
I STUCK DOUBLE SIDED TAPE ONTO FOIL AND CUT IT INTO 5MM SQUARES AND STUCK THEM ON THE BLACK CIRCLES ON THE BACK OF THE BUTTONS
THE CONSOLE BUTTONS ARE WORKING INSTANTLY NOW LIKE IT WAS BRAND NEW AND ITS NOT HARD TO DO THIS EVERY 3 MONTHS OR SO IF YOUR HANDY

yes you are right .. .that works, and many have done that ;)
The mk1 model only have about 2 contact points, while the mk2 have about 9.... so mk2 works far better.
But making the mk1 have a big contact point with foil will fix the old console... just not the warrenty. But thats probably ran out anyways by now ;)

Not only has this made my mk 1 usable again ....its actualy more responsive than when it was new.
I had a mix with it the other night and its working better than new
Yes the warranty is out hence my search for a better product
I think once the behringer is compatable i will use that
The software with the behringer has seperate wave graphs for each deck
I think that having both decks on one wave graph is what makes virtual dj the best software out there
not to mention all the other amazing things it can do
