if i transfer my vdj to a new laptop will all my settings/bpm's of songs/and keyboard shortcuts be lost. because i have about 1500 song that already have there bpms set i wound hate to have to get all the bpms again

The answer is no, if you backup your mp3database.txt, VirtualDJ Database.xml and shortcuts.xml under VDj working folder (default is C:\\program files\\VirtualDj ) and transfer your songs with the same subfolders to your new laptop (for example C:\\Myfiles\\Mymusic\\...).
