maybe a stupid question, but i am trying to rip my vinyl collection. but do I have to change something in config or can i use the default settings. because the line you see, doesn't move much. or do I have to change the bitrate?

if the line doesn't move much its because rip vinyl isn't properly configured.
Here is what I recommend. Connect your TT to your mixer or directly to your computer's soundcard's line in.
what kind of decks are you using? if you require a pre amp check the VDJ config options and check pre amp.
make sure that if your TTs require a grounding you should ground the TT properly.
also make sure the right soundcard is selected in the config panel of rip vinyl.

i connected my tt to the line in on my maya44 usb and in the config I selected the maya input.
but when i switch the gain the lines are moving but how much can I put the gain up for good quality? or is it a matter of experience and listen afterwards to the track.
