话题: VDJ keeps locking up

Hi i bought a brand new laptop this week DELL inspiron 1300
1.4 CPU 40 gig HDD 512 Memory
its a new instal and VDJ runs not too bad
i have gone on to do the normal stuff like ajust for best performance ect
but its the worst ive seen it on any of my laptops
some of the problems
When loading mp3s the track playing jumps and the program locks up
Now and then while analysing a mp3 it will get to 100% and lock up
now and then when i pull a mp3 from my folder list to a deck the little blck hand you see remains and doesnt load the mp3 and locks up
is there anything else i can try?

p.s i just tried reinstalling it again and its not as bad now but still doing 1 or 2 of these probles 2 3 times a day

of course i cant have this locking up while i am doing a gig

What operating system are you running. The spec sounds minimal - but should run ok. Are you using video.

Hi no ive never tampered with Video side of VDJ

i am using XP Home with SVP2 its a new laptop i would have expected the spec to be fine
especialy with 1.4 cpu and 512 memory

any hardware involved? if not check to see that the virtual memory is set up right...how long are the tracks your loading?

I just noticed its locking up on wma tracks are they suported?

i got my virtual memory set to best performance and 512

afaik wma is only supported when they are not DRM protected.. But I could be wrong..

Ok it seems the few wma files i had was not scanning right or analysing right as VDJ kept locking up
dow ive converted them to MP3 no probs
so far so good

still have the jumping problem now and then when am playing a track and load another

Have you try Reactivity in Medium?, just a thought... and erase all temp files and defrag your hardisk too.

My system keeps locking up. mainly with the "Global/napster" plugin. I have installed this on two different laptops. One an averetec. When I had problems, I installed it on a new toshiba.

Both are tablet pc's. One has 1 gigs of ram, and the other has 2 gigs.

Any suggestions? Maybe an update screwed things up because it used to work wonderfully.
