One of the things I really like about slashdot, is that the site keeps a collection of "Hall Of Fame" links. These are posts that gather the most comments. I think it would be nice to keep a list of "hall of fame" posts handy so new user can engage themselves in some of the most talked about topics.

definitely good idea.. i find it hard searching through the forums sometimes for links which members have posted which are quite useful.
