I think the side list implementation was great, it saves time moving lists from the playlist to file list back and forth (like I used to do). The only suggestion I have is if it would be possible to move it. Perhaps give it its own column. Those that don't use it can just collapse it when not in use. I only say this because with most skins (that I have used at least) the browser window is fairly small and cutting it in half makes it even smaller, so it would be very useful to have a seperate column for it.

I prefer it as it is, because there's plenty of room for it on a timecode/external controller skin, but I can see that it would be a problem on a skin with limited browser height.
It would be great if it could be optionally configured to be either vertical or horizontal split.
