I'm a wedding DJ using atomix for 2 years. Just upgraded to version 2.3 running on a Shuttle XPC P4 2.0 with 1Gb RAM and two 200GB HDD's. I have about 35,000 songs in the database. Now for the situation:
The cube PC has been running for 2 years and is getting quirky. Rather than wipe the hard drive and re-install the OS, I am upgrading the machine to a newer faster model that I'm building. I still have my original install program and passwords and stuff but I don't want to run into the problem of the program not unlocking and letting me use it. Last time it happened it took days before someone helped me and it was a very close call. It finally got unlocked the morning of a wedding gig. Much too close for comfort. What can I do ahead of time to guarantee a smooth transition from one machine to another?

burn the install file on to a CD, and write down your serial number.
