话题: Question about connecting to speakers

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I've got a soundcard with only one output (I'm going to buy another).
I connected the soundcard with a hifi-installation by a cable with 2 audio plugs. I connect the plug with the soundcard and Mic input.
I tested it for a while and it worked perfectly, but the second time I only got a cracky noise.
I checked the wire and the soundcard but they work fine.
Is it really possible that the Mic input was blown up by my foult???
If so ... plz gimme another way to connect them.
Thx

Sound card output gives 100mv power. Micro input is 20mv max.
You must connect line out from your computer card to line in in your Hi Fi. If your hi fi has not line in but only mic in, turn off the volume of the hi fi and the volume from computer sound card. Plug the cable and adjust the sound card volume very low.
This solution is not very safe and you can blow up the mic input or the speakers.

Yes, think of the output on your computer like the line out of your CD player. It's basically just pre-amped. In order for it to sound right before it gets to the speakers, it has to run through some sort of proper amplification. If the stereo you are trying to run it through doesn't have a "line in" you probably won't be able to use it.

Good Luck!
