It currently not possible with Atomix. Realtime mp3 encoding + playback of the decks + EQs + effects + visual displays all together would raise the cpu requirments for Atomix. As it is, some people have been successful running Atomix on a slower computer just fine. But when trying to record a regular wav file, it will skip constantly. Imagine trying to record AND encode to mp3.
