Help. New to the software and hardware. But whenever I do vinyl mode, the auto sync doesnt latch on to the beat when I release the Vinyl. I have to manually press the sync button for it to be in sync. I need it to latch on when I release the vinyl. But if I use the que button, it does latch on. Any setting I need to activate when in vinyl? I reviewed the smart/quantize/autobpm settings and still not able to achive it in Vinyl.

sync doesn't work like that in vdj, all it does is adjust the pitch to match the bpm and drag the beat grid into line at that moment only, once that moment has passed what happens with the grid alignment is up to you.
script a custom_button to beatlock, that might be more familiar to you.
