I'm the resident IT DJ at a club, not my choice just happened. We have recently migrated to Mac from PC and off an old Ryne sound board(MP 26) with an Native Instruments - dj 4 audio, Now with the DJM-750MK2. So some of these issues I'm having problems trouble shooting for the other DJs here come from lack of time with MAC the other half is how Pioneer boards interact with VDJ. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but hopefully I can at least get headed in the right direction on one or more of these issues.
1.) Video mixing - I use settings that should let it run how it has always for us (the "Smart" setting) but it gets locked too one side or the other, Google says its related to fader % on that channel VDJ isn't grabbing the fader volume and videos will stay stuck on that channel. The only configuration for videos that works how expected is locked to cross fader, which has its own issue of ghost video at anything less than 100% to a side.
-QUESTION is it possible to edit percentile settings for faders anywhere so activation is fast/slower for these settings? maybe under controller or modifiers.
2.) History - Will not save outside of certain tracks. I'm guessing this was in part an issue with our drive types NTFS that has been mostly remedied by downloading "NTFS for Mac" program, I would guess that since some tracks show up that it maybe related to the tracks file types. We can now do almost everything as if full write privileges.
QUESTION - Is this issue related to write permissions for VDJ in the MAC OS settings? or is there some setting I looked past.
3.) SIDELIST - Everything that gets played is getting sent there. I would like to have it only send things to my sidelist if the track got swapped out mid play(this was standard behavior on PC)
4.)TRACKSECURITY - I want the pop up box to ask if I want to swap the track in that channel as long as I am in mid play. Yes" does nothing, "No" does nothing, "Silent" at least provides me protection, too much as it stop track dragging and double clicking as long as decks are in use.
