Topic: DVS on Virtual DJ
Hello there happy new year!
I was wondering if a configuration like the following could work with VDJ.

2 turntables
2 DVS VirtualDJ vinyls
1 mixer (supported by VirtualDJ)
1 DDJ-XP2
VirtualDJ

Basically I would like to use turntables but control my mixing with DDJ-XP2 using the turntables just as CDJ jogwheels.

Do i need additional hardware?

Yep that's all you need.

You can replace "Mixer Supported by VirtualDJ" with any soundcard with enough inputs with decent phono preamps that VirtualDJ can recognize/use (which is normally what these mixers contain internally).

More detailed info in the Timecode section of the User Manual.

Does anyone know where I can buy dvs vinyls for VirtualDJ?
If I click on Virtualdj.com it leads me to Amazon us, but I live in Italy.

Tried to Google it up and only Serato or Pioneer timecoded vinyls appear.
 
Yep it allows you to incorporate actual Vinyl too if you want.

For more mixers with a full section of MIDI pads incorporated, the DDJ-XP2 is probably not needed, but if you are using a mixer without such (like DJM club mixers), or a purely analog mixer + DVS soundcard interface, it will be worth it to carry that with you 🍺.
 
Yes I bought DDJ-XP2 because most of the clubs have mixers without pads and CDJs...

Any hints about where to buy VDJ timecoded vinyls as ny previous question?🙏🏾
 
VirtualDJ pretty much works well with Serato and Traktor Vinyl, in addition to VirtualDJ.

I really wish they put out more color options for VirtualDJ vinyl as I would readily support, but you can't go wrong with Serato vinyl.

it leeds to the main Amazon site. You can order from there and will be shipped to you without import duties.(normally they use european warehouse)
I live in Greece and i tried to place an order right now..
If on the other hand want want a pair of any other vinyl as dj vinyltouch already proposed, you may use traktor or serato ones
