Hi, the 100% default position of the Master knob (in the Master tab of the mixer) is always bumping my VU meters in my hardware mixer into the red. I always turn ithe knob down manually when I'm gainstaging as the volume is always 100% when VDJ starts. Is there a way to just have it default to 50 or 75%?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Add a script to ONINIT key of keyboard mapping.

Perhaps consider lowering zeroDB to like -3, -6db instead of adding any Master Volume action to your ONINIT.
Not sure what you mean by "bumping my VU meter", if you mean going to red/orange indication leds, and potential distortion then probably the same happens to your Deck VU meters.
It also depends on yoru Audio setup and since you mentioned "Hardware" mixer, in case you have an Ext Mixer setup with deck 1, deck 2 etc, the Master Volume is probably irrelevant.

I have an A&H PX5 mixer with a built in soundcard. There are no attenuators for the mixer input. The signal is hot enough that I barely have to raise the master output on the mixer before I'm clipping my speakers. The only way I've found is to lower the signal on the Master output tab of VDJ.
I wasn't aware of the ZeroDB feature. Very helpful! Now I've got some headroom to push the mixer a little bit.
Thank you!
