Hi
When you drop an image into the sample bank, no matter the aspect ration it will display it correctly on the screen, except if you edit it (to add to a group for example).
When you enter the sampler editor the image is stretched to fit the full screen, you can resize it back but it's guess work since they are free moving handles, would it possible to add a check box, similar to video samples, to maintain the original aspect or the image, or even a grid to help when resizing, or is there already a way to do this I am not aware of.

You can right click the preview in the sample editor to enable keep aspect ratio
