Yes since two years...and after all this wait, they added the lyrics with AI... very useful LOL
This attitude seems like Rekordbox adding the Bass stems feature with general stems crap quality...

Anyhow VDJ is still my DJ software...

Comments on that video (by our own Klaus Mogensen) - someone always has to say they need to update the skin :-)

....plus of course asking for Spotify, liquid beat grids...

yes the great Klaus... actually everything in terms of look and feel (GUI interface, Social media presence, communication etc etc) is very very basic...I for sure prefer to have efficient SW and outstanding performances / features like VDJ has (except Dynamic Beat Grids) but I believe they would need a decent Marketing Director...maybe they dont have it at all...

Lol someone also always have to bring up a name change, as if that does anything functional (and requires a whole heap of work on rebranding, registering new Trademark, etc).

We did get an update on the beatgrid analysis upgrade pretty much as of yesterday:

https://virtualdj.com/forums/266311/VirtualDJ_Technical_Support/Virtual_DJ_2026.html

I rather wait and they nail it (especially for tracks with awkward beats like 50 Cent - In Da Club), than they release something with obvious immediate flaws and we end up going back and forth with complaints.

I must say the Effects improvement is one of the most notable and appreciated updates for me...a long time overdue.

"awkward beats like 50 Cent - In Da Club" LOL it's a 90bpm track made in digital studio...what's ankward in that?
We need Dynamic Beat Grids for old tracks played by real musicians, where the tempo keeps drifting and can be almost impossible to lock in. I can handle most of them manually, but Dynamic Beat Grids would finally give me the freedom to focus on the mix instead of going crazy on the jog wheel and tempo slider trying to live beatmatch two songs :D

Furthermore, I understand it’s better to release a stable version than to rush something out, but it’s been two years since DJay Pro introduced its own version, and it feels like VDJ is falling behind and not really prioritizing this long-awaited feature.

Let's see...

Falling behind is a matter of opinion.

There have been multiple things put out since then that Algoriddim had no answer for (StemSwap Sampler, the New AI Vocal detection, use of Cloud sources are just a few) - just because it wasn't the feature that you want doesn't mean innovation isn't happening.

As for the 50 cent song - I know it's a constant BPM track but, it's not an easy track to grid because almost no part of the song, other than the snare, gives you indication of the right downbeat (the downbeat falls within a space actually, and the beat "rolls" around the downbeat/beat marker points), and VirtualDJ has never gotten gridding for that right. Lil Dicky's Freak Friday is another song with the same problem. Add variation in actual BPM of the track and the problem becomes even harder.

The Beat Analyzer upgrade is way more than just variable BPM tracks - it's getting the BPM right in as many cases as possible, especially odd cases.

Yep you right everything I write is just my personal opinion...anyway VDJ is sill my DJ software and I would not change it with any on the market...

Yep I was agreeing with u...(obv a little disagreement on the falling behind but that's just my opinion too).

I'm just hoping for them to get it right - they have put out/been at the forefront of so many good features, this is probably the only one they been behind with that ppl care about, so it's a bit more important to get it as close to "the standard" as possoble, because you know a lot of ppl are always more than ready to give negative reviews (but stay silent for positive aspects), especially for VirtualDJ.

We have to keep in mind that this feature is useful only for a very niche group of genres. House, techno and electronic DJs, who I believe are VDJ’s main target, do not really need it and do not seem to care about it.

wow thanks for being such a gentleman...

Guys let's keep it professional - the forums being a net positive for persons getting direct help/requests in is a major selling point for ppl looking in.

I think the feature is desired by everyone that is truly open format across decades as well as genres, and trust, people care (just look at how many different people have posted about it), because, it was noted for years, in many different software, that beatgridding was a sore point in those cases.
This case has a measuring stick though (other software), so imo it is kind of important to hit the mark, as opposed to if it was being introduced (e.g. Stems allowed for a gradual step of v1.0 to v2.0, because Algoriddim and Atomix released similar quality at virtually the same time).
