I've tried several approaches to this and have not been able to get it to work.
The idea is that I have two versions of a song, an Xtendz and a Snipz. The Snipz version is a shorter version of the Xtendz, but they are the same song. Usually I will begin playing the Snipz, but if the crowd is into it, I may decide that I want to play the longer version.
I'd like to map SHIFT+LOAD so I can select the Xtendz version and it loads it into the deck, syncs to the same measure (or beat number) as the other deck, and plays/syncs.
I've tried various iterations of storing the beat position via get_beatpos and then jumping to it in the new song with goto but something just seems to be off and it always starts from the beginning of the song.
Wondering if anyone has written a script like this.
Cheers

post something you tired, it should be pretty straight forward.
query track by name or something ? if not usual clone : if true load other track, get beatpos of first track, apply offset if needed cast to goto, play.
