I have recently started to explore the remote app on my iPad Pro, really good app but I am unable to see the music on the app, I see it on the laptop in Virtual DJ but not via the remote app. any ideas.

If it is connected the default mode will represent the play mode. To get to your music you should hit the folder tab (with the musical note symbol in it). It's above the right fader.
