Hi Folks, I've been using and loving my Rane 4 with virtual DJ, but I've been running into an issue that really bothers me. Sometimes, when playing with stem split, it seems to _stick_ with "stem split" on the deck display, and pressing stem split again does not clear it and go back to a single deck. Has anyone else seen this? @PhantomDeeJay

I have not seen that, but basically it's the unit's firmware responsibility to clear that message.
So, VirtualDJ (or even Serato) sends a specific MIDI message each time you turn on SPLIT mode.
The unit then shows the message, and clears it automatically after a few seconds.
The host application (VirtualDJ/Serato) does not send another MIDI message to "clear" the stems split message and make the screen return to normal operation mode.
So, if the display sticks, it must be a firmware issue/bug.
They only help I can offer at this point, is to give you a way to disable the message completely. So, if you enable "Stem Split" the unit will not show the message on screen.
The rest functionality of the unit should remain the same.
Let me know if you wish to do that.
