I bought a Denon MC3000. It came with a license key. But when I enter it into the program of the latest version nothing happens. The same thing happens in the account. The program works in the trial version.

It has links to download VirtualDJ 7 LE (MC3000). Does that mean I can't use version 8 with my license key?

That is correct. MC3000 came with VirtualDJ LE version 7 and you can of course download and use that version for free.
For VirtualDJ version 8, you will need to purchase a Pro/Plus license https://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
