Is it not possible to add an edited file to a playlist?

I used the track editor and cannot add the edited version to a playlist.

P.S. I am using the most current "Summer" version of VDJ.

Seems to work here, I just dragged an edit into a playlist. How are you trying?
 
Thanks for the reply loco but I'm using the same method you describe.

Edit file.

Find file in inventory.

Drag over to playlist (not autoplaylist).

No luck.
 
tested different edit types and initial filetypes with sidelist, playlist and karaoke
everything works ok here

maybe your sidelist have write permission issues ?
 
I'll have to dig into that.

Where/What setting deals with playlist permissions?
 
there is settings -> browser -> readOnly
and of course OS folders permissions

but note there is a possibility VDJ crashed and crashguard restarted VDJ in readonly mode (before database was released by previous instance)
 
Had to try this.

Works for me too on both 32/64 bit versions with drag on sidelist and automix list.
 
After 2 reboots, a recurse and a routine bulk analyze, the problem has resolved itself.
