话题: Broadcast to small closed group via Facebook Live

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hi out there, is it possible to broadcast via Facebook Live to a small closed group of friends with no money involved without running up against copyright issues.......much the same as doing a mix at home for friends......if not how is it possible to broadcast elsewhere

many thanks for any help and advice

Its possible to broadcast to a group yes, just create a group, and invite your friends ;-)
It will not have any impact on any copyright notices though

For better success rate on FB try mix DJ remixes of songs, play other genre (not recent top 40 that is not cleared yet), and try mix the songs (dont play them all out)

Alternatively, if you still have issues on FB, you can broadcast to Twitch, Twitter (Periscope), Youtube, Bandlab etc...
and just post the link to the live broadcast to your Facebook page (and it automatically creates a nice image for the post)
VirtualDJ works with all of those, and far less copyright problems, even none with the live broadcast (but sometimes muted parts in the recorded set, not live)

See here on how to broadcast to other platforms : http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/videobroadcast.html

1. It's ironic that dance music artists enforce their copyright rights via FaceBook. It's not like anyone is making any cash off their tracks with FB Live, but I suppose that FB makes money off their ads. And FB is too cheap to pay the pennies per track to compensate the artists.

2. One would think that FB would come to an arrangement with dance artists during Covid to allow folks to virtually congregate and have what little fun is out there.

3. Recently, I have had better luck with FB. They haven't attempted to mute my last couple of streams but they did "partially mute" the archives. Maybe there are so many streams right now that it is taxing their AI?

Just some observations/opinions. Certainly nothing profound.

thanks and totally agree......artists have all been paid for their tunes and they are not being monetised and indeed they are being advertised for free!!!
