in my attempt to create a podcast, im having an issue with my mixes. the problem is that when i want to only listen to the track that im going to mix in through my headphones to insure that its on point with the track thats playing, that track that i want to blend can already be herad before i blend it in.

When you're using a "separate decks" or "external mixer" setup, the internal (on-screen) VDJ mixer is not used.
If you try to podcast or record a mix, then the signal is taken from the output of the internal (on-screen) mixer - that you are not using.
You need to send the podcast signal from the output of your real hardware mixer.
