every time i open virtual dj the master volume is set to max , Is there a way to change this to be set for good? also the master volume knob doesnt work as well. i understand it is not a midi command or mayne mine is broken as i tested it both mid and hid trace.

The controller master volume is hardware only.
No issue with having the VDJ volume at 100% if the controller has an independent master volume.
If you want to change it then add a command to the controller ONINIT key as master_volume 80% for example.
