Is it possible to have an effect turn on as you move the knob/slider strength and when you put the strength back to zero have the effect turn off?

Are you using a controller with Effects knobs ? If so, you can map that knob as ..
where X is the Parameter number you wish to control (1 for 1st Parameter)
...or just
if you only want to turn it off on zero but not automatically turn it on on other positions.
effect_slider X & param_smaller 2% ? effect_active off : effect_active on
