Could someone check to see if the script:
kill_low_eq
works for them?
I've tried mapping this script to a number of keys on the keyboard and no luck.

It works ok for me using the same version
I did need to change away from using cheap in ear headphones to a set of DJ headphones (the cheap ones didn't include enough bass to tell when I killed it)
I made a small video to show it working
It also shows the bass label changing to red when enabling kill
And I also turn down the bass manually so you can check if it's something else in you audio line that messes with it

EDIT: I'm on Windows though. Don't own a Mac.
I don't know if that can make a difference

Plus you need to make sure you are in the correct EQ mode. One allows full kill, the other doesn't.
