You need to have a license that alows you to use VDJ with a controller.
The home license only let you test VDJ with a controller for 10 minutes
You can get a license for your specific controller or get the pro license
It's the same for v7 by the way. You also need a license to use that with VDJ.
Mayby you got a v7 LE license with your controller somehow. In that case there might be a discount when getting a v8 license
