I'm sure many of you already knew this, but for the newbies I will stress an important thing regarding broadcasting using the software. I have seen it a lot recently by new users, and I'd hope that they would recognize this.
When you click broadcast, it creates a page for you on THIS WEBSITE, that includes your IP ADDRESS in plain sight. It can be viewed by whoever would want to view it very easily.
What do I think of this? Well personally I don't care about it myself, because I do not plan on streaming. But for other users, I think Atomix should add a disclaimer to the broadcast feature that your ip address will be publicly displayed on their site, or at least use some sort of encryption to prevent them from being visible.
Another possible solution that I would see absolutely no problem with them implementing due to the sales/income of Atomix would be changing this web server/site or creating another website that could cache a couple minutes of a users broadcast and play that, instead of a direct connection to the users IP address (and of course, updating the software to push data to the site for the broadcast). Not only would this fix security, but it would remove the need for the user to have the port (8000) open.
Thanks for reading. Hope I did not duplicate any posts, and I hope this is helpful to new users.

If you want people to listen to your stream of course they will have to know how to reach you.
Otherwise you have to stream through a streaming server, which is also supported by vdj.

I could understand that, but it would make sense to remove the direct connection to the users PC entirely, and change the broadcast to a streaming system. It is a security hole for users that can be easily abused. Not to mention that it is violating the privacy policy in which it states that users information will not be given.
