Newbie question: Are skins and mappings 100% unrelated, or can skins contain mapping information that might overwrite previous mappings?

Skins use VDJ Script.
So does mappers.
A skin cannot "overwrite" a mapper.
However, depending on the mapper itself a skin may supplement it or override some of it's functionality.
For most people though skins and mapper should be considered as two DIFFERENT things.

I have already whished I can override from the skin some of the DDJ-SX2 visuals, for instance I have a script making the jog_leds a beat matcher,would've been cool to be able to set AND unset this from a menu in the skin instead of having to manually change mapping in the options window.
