Is there any way to turn a Custom Knob/Dial into a "Volume" dial for the Echo Effect?

Okay, so I found a post in the forum that says, "The Strength Parameter controls the volume of the Echo." Is this still the only way, or is it at all possible for me to have a "Custom Dial/Knob" for "Echo Volume" as I mentioned in my first post? Thank you!

yeah just script the custom dial to the effect dial
effect_slider "effectName" X
X being the slider number,
effect_slider "effectName" X

Ive noticed that when i get the volume where i want it the echoes go forever, the stregnth and the volume should be separate.
