I'm heading into the unknown by disabling Win 10 services, and laptop hardware.
The main services I've disabled are Win 10 update, and the three xbox services.
I've also disabled print spooling, and a few other little things.
I'm contemplating more, but the big one seems to be the update.
Disabling it seems to reduce the load on my laptop resources.
I can't see why I need a wired internet connection or modem so have disabled their hardware along with ACPI battery hardware since it's always mains connected. The SD card slots are also not used so they to have been disabled.
What would you optimize ?

LOL..Win7 is good!
My old Intel dual core laptop performs better using Win10, rather than Win7.
There's much which troubles me about Win10..but my main interest is performance.
Maintaining an internet connection, video mixing, and using effects, samples etc..all are improved by using Win10.
It has been extremely stable.
It's true that I might one day regret my use of Win10.
Notes:
My Asus X58L laptop started life as a Vista, 2Ghz Celeron machine, with 1gb of ram and a 120Gb hdd.
It's now a Win10, 2.4Ghz Intel dual core, with 5Gb of ram, and !000Gb hdd.
A useful VDJ8.2 option exists to load videos at a slower rate hence aiding video mixing on older laptops.
This does not really have any practical disadvantages.
It reduces cpu load.
