Is it possible to have 1/2 of the screen playing a music video or karaoke and the other 1/2 of the screen showing the live camera feed? Thanks!

Sure is, just download the TellyVisuals or TellyMedia plugins. Set up your screen then your good to go.

I was hoping for an easier way as I have been playing with those and am struggling at putting them together. I can set up a cool layout on tellyvisuals but struggle with adding the camera feature on tellymedia.

Hmm not sure how much easier it can get but ill try to make a quick video tonight showing you how to do it.

Once its setup you pretty much never have to worry about it again.

Thank you! I appreciate that.

I was talking with Don from telly and I was told this is not possible at this time but will be with his new plugin when it is done.

Hmm not true because I have 2 sometimes 3 different cameras at once with videos playing on the same screen.

You can have VDJ's video playing in a panel so if you make 1 panel half of your screen then the videos will play in that half.

Next you setup a camera and size that to fit the other half and you've accomplished what your asking for.

Maybe Don didn't understand what you wanted but yes you can have your Karaoke videos on half of the screen while a live camera fills the other half......

Here's a video I made with 3 live camera and 1 is being used as an Audio Only Visualization

You can see the other 2 camera feeds in the bottom left/right corners....... It can be done.

I skyped with Don yesterday and he assured me that was not possible. He said that the camera works with the VDJ screen and it would need to be part of the video panel. When I activate the vdj music video on the panel, it pulls the camera into that panel. If I deactivate the vdj music video from that panel, I can then move the camera out of that panel to where I need it to be but then I lose the ability to play a music video. Your screen shows that it can be done but I am frustrated that skyping with Don he told me it was not possible until he releases the new NTV that will combine both TV and TM. You are incorporating both TM and TV with the screen you showed, correct?

Yeah I'm using both apps.

Don't be mad a Don, he is right in the sense that this can't be done with 1 app but I'm not an average user so I've tweaked the rules and combine shit until I get the desired results, lmao!

Are you still able to make a quick video to show just the basics of the split screen with camera on one side and music video on the other. Thanks!

Yeah I got the next few nights off so ill get something done for you

Thank you. I really appreciate it!

Hope that helps if not holla at me.

Thanks, I appreciate that. For some reason, it pulls my camera into the vdj music video panel. I have been doing everything you mentioned. Here is a screenshot.

Whenever I move the camera in TM it moves in the video panel. And it is showing the panel as full screen although I have it as 1/2 screen.

Your using both TellyMedia and TellyVisuals right??

Ok I think I know your doing, when creating the 2 panel for the camera that step isn't needed.

I do this as a visual reference so when I size the camera around I can see exactly where to match the edges up.

So you only need to create 1 panel and use that to pull in the VDJ output.

Also VDJ shouldn't even use the camera because your using TellyMedia to turn it on/off.

Also from your screen shot I can see panel 2 is over lapping panel 1 and that your camera isn't the same size as panel 2 which is where I'm assuming you have the live feed running out to.

I appreciate all your help but I think I will need to wait for NTV. I have everything set up exactly as we have talked about and the second I enable the VDJ music video in the right panel, it pulls the video camera in with it. Then when I go in TM and move the camera, it only moves within the music video panel. It won't move to the left where there is no panel. Oh well.

Sounds kinda like you have the camera setup as an Audio Only Visualization??

I think you are right, I faintly remember that and wasn't sure what it was. Now I just have to find that setting.
