My external hard drive went dead on me two weeks ago at a gig, good thing I have a backup with all my videos and karaoke files to complete the gig. since then I opened up the faulty hard drive and the power circuit board is bad, but the hard drive itself is good.
Hear is the problem...I didn't synchronized to the backup hard drive which I'm using now for more then a month before it went dead, I added V-folders and content since my last synchronization?
Now the question, how can I migrate Db info in my faulty drive into the Db of my backup drive which I'm using without loosing what I've already added to it.?
VDJ 7.7
Thanks

You can get an external case to mount the drive in.
The V-folders are kept in the VirtualDj directory on the drive.
You can copy your newly created folders over when you have access to the drive in a new case.

Okay, let me explain it another way, currently using back Up drive and have added new folders and content to it while it is my main HD now.
How can I migrate information from my faulty HD's VDJ database into the drive I'm using now?
Just want to copy only info that doesn't exist in drive #2 from Drive #1, like a compare and copy or synchronize program synchronizing one or both databases to each other.
The physical files I can do on my own, it is the database I am concerned about..

The virtual folders can just be copied over.
The database, however, will take some care.
First thing, make a backup of both databases with a file name that will help you distinguish them.
Then, I edit the databases with notepad++.
https://notepad-plus-plus.org/
You will also need the Compare plugin
Here is a quick howto.
