im sure this has been asked before but i can not find the answer when i load vdj7 all my music is there but when i load vdj8 half my music is missing i have analysed my music in vdj8 etc but still no joy , ie when using vdj7 if i search for HOZIER, TAKE ME TO CHURCH its there but when i search the same song and artist in vdj8 there are no results if anyone help please thanks

vdj 7 and vdj 8 have separate databases. If you add something in 7 it won't be in 8.
To have all your vdj7 stuff, delete the vdj8 database and run the program and it will take all the info from the vdj7 database and create a new vdj8 database.
But remember, if you add anything on 7 afterwards, it won't be in 8.
at this point, vdj8 is pretty stable for me. I have abandoned 7 to avoid all confusion.

thanks for the reply but i have been using vdj8 for some time now and love it but when i buy and download new music it shows up in vdj7 but not vdj8 thanks

It shows up? How exactly are you adding your new music to the database? Do you have both VDJ 7 and VDJ 8 set to automatically add new tracks when you browse (in VDJ) to a folder?
