Hi guys, for the last few days i've been getting real problems loading tracks from CU and NS that i've never had before. A prime example is just a few minutes ago i searched for a track and 8 options came up. 7 of them gave me the error message and the 1 that loaded certainly was not the original artist.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I had the same issue until I upgraded to an early access build of VDJ 8.1.

I'm on DJ 8.1 build 2587.1086 which i presume is the latest. This problem has only just happened in the last few days and i've been a member for nearly 9 months.

Build 2587 is the latest full release
I'm on build 2770, and I've just tested it. Both Content unlimited and net search content works for me
Build 2770 is an early release (kind of like a beta).
You can get those by enabling it under "Settings->Network", or by downloading them here:
http://www.virtualdj.com/download/build.html
But I don't know if that could be your issue
The latest thing I can find in the history of changes regarding Content Unlimited and Netsearch is:
BUILD 2729
-Fix netsearch change in protocol
So I guess if netsearch content is your issue (the free un-validated stuff from the internet, that is marked by purple icons if you use the default skin), then you could try using an early release version to see if that helps.
Just remember that it's at you own risk, since early releases are not tested and released versions

Thank you so much Klausmogensen. Done the download of that version and all seems to be fine now. If i could just ask one more question ( sorry, i'm hopeless at this techie stuff) should i now ignore any future requests to download new versions?

Well, I have a home laptop that is setup to get every update and early release, so that I can always play with the newest stuff
But on my gig laptop and my backup gig-laptop I have disabled getting new versions. I prefer to always know what version they run
Then if something breaks down like I guess must have been the case with Content Unlimited on earlier v8.1 builds (probably a change in the communication or setup of the content provider), then I rush to the forum and the FB page to find out why, and when there will be a fix for it.
But if I don't have any issues, and no new exiting features are announced in new builds, I just use the version I have
