I dont use much effects o I dont know how long this problem has been lasted... at least from 8.0 to 8.1 but maybe ever since I bought a new laptop
Most of the audio effects does not do anything: echo, flanger, volume (the latest I installed). Alterting effect sliders does not help. For example If I activate 'Echo\ it simply mutes the sound, no matter which position of effect sliders. If I try to use 'Volume' Effect, It only works like regular effect slider, no echo nor anything. Flanger does not work no matter the position of any of sliders.
Some other effects DO work, like flipping double.
What is it? I have Lenovo Laptop, Windows 8 and Virtual DJ 8.1.
EDIT: flanger effect seem to work but 'Volume' and 'Echo' does not. Do they apply only into master out? I use only headphones currently.

Have you got the mute source button active on the echo effect?
Volume effect just controls volume, but any fx chained after becomes post that fader.
Flanger also iirc, has a button.
Best bet delete all .ini files linked to unresponsive fx

Deleting the effect .ini files did the trick. Thank you!

No worries, what that is telling you is: it was the fx settings causing your problem.
Deleting the .ini resets the fx but is a heavy handed way of sorting the problem.
Play with the fx buttons some more to understand how things stop working and how to fix the problem, knowing this will help you avoid this happening in a live setting.
