I have a pair of 15" 470w rms powered subs I have never been happy with because of their low audio output. Of course I have read many articles on sub placement trying to figure things out. New Years eve I had the opportunity to experiment a bit, so while setting up, I placed the 2 subs center stage, and centered 3' apart. I had read about this idea, is supposed to be the best. Had a 60" TV on each side of the subs, and the 2-ways outside of the TVs. Well, the sub output was staggering! I had to turn the sub volumes down about 40%, and the bass freq outputs as it was covering up the higher freqs. The windows were rattling , and I had wonderful round, full, and punchy low freqs. So I'm just sharing this experience with you guys in case you'd like to try it. To me the results were amazing. Cheers

Speaker placement is definitely somethings that anyone in this field should learn.
More people should take the time to try placing things differently and see what happens.
I don't know how many times I'm at a place and hear cancellation and booming issues.
Good job.

Easiest way to pickup an additional 3db simply by coupling your subs.
