I want so much a dj set for my birthday, but question is: I need a controller for Virtual Dj (8), but people say that you must change to the Pro version of it (cost a lot of money), but whithout the Pro version, wouldn't it go?

there are 3 types of licences that support Midi Controller:

V8 Pro Infinity ($299)
Plus Controller Licence ( $49 up to $249 depending on the controller )
Pro Monthly Subscription ( Pro Version as a subscription for monthly use)
