Simple,I got a Akai EIE usb/midi/audio box for my studio productions,basically to go with my Akai Max49 keyboard controller and get more mic inputs but with XLR's...prior I was still getting glitching on the audio if I connected to my Alienware m18x laptop but not on the m14x which funny enough has the Realtek drivers.the m18x has intel.the minute I bought the EIE box I realized I got it from the DJ Store on ebay and thought "this works with a dj setup?" quite nicely I might add...and though it too uses wasapi drivers I guess a box that is made for audio signal control fixed the glitching and gives me 4 mics or instruments ins and yes thers a swith to either monitor channels 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 or both, which is where you want it so your phones control on the NV work normally.I'm glad to say that this sysyem is purring like a kitten.....anybody else doing this?

Okay,the thing is that I was using the Native instruments Kontrol Rig pedal/sound card for my Daws which sounds great ( Asio drivers) but had to unplug the headphones and Audio out in order to switch to VDJ use and plug the Phones and Audio (to my monitor) into the Numark NV whenerver I go from working with Music Composing to Dj work.now the Phones and Audio Outputs stay on the Akai EIE box for both duties and I just plug the NV's USB and its power plug and that's it! ....dont have to bend down to the floor so much either.this box handles both jobs.in other words the NV is just handling midi control,the Akai handles audio control.the EIE also gives me 3 more usb's... a win/win...
