Topic: HELP WITH TRACK CLEANING PLEASE - Page: 1

I have been trying to locate a Video tutorial to explain clearly how to track clean but only come across a very shaky video of censoring a track. I may have miss-understood the purpose of track cleaner. I need to delete a section of a Mix but attempted it many times according to the manual but it will only take it in bits rather than highlighting the section and deleting. Where am I going wrong or do I need a third party track editor .

ah. will look into it after I get the youngsters off to the learning establishment. back in a few.
 
for me the editor and track cleaner both were a little problematic early on and since I wanted my edits to be able to be used cross-platform or to be able to burn to disc I stopped using either one, but I have this morning after seeing post opened it up again. after using the track cleaner to remove two sections of a video - intro and outro. why can't these directors make videos so people can just dance? I could care bugger all about their 'artistic' storyline. - and hitting save the video played with the sections removed.
 
I do agree with you so annoying.
 
I been watching the video but why do i have to save it to hear the edit, been that the censor length seems to be automatic sometimes it will censor more than i want, but i dont know until i have made a separate file. This can get real annoying real quick.
 
it is annoying but it's what's bundled with it for I suppose just quick usage in a pinch. full edits pretty much require more specific software to my way of thinking.
 
If you updated you don't have to re-open the edit to hear it, you can preview your changes from within the editor.

is there a way to make censor while pressed work in the editor?
 
So will am I right in saying that there is no way of making large edits say removing two minutes of a song with VDJ8.
 
You are not, you can remove as much as you like.
 
Please can someone show how as I have asked previously. The PDF instructions are hot clear otherwise it would be a case of cuing beginning and end of what you want to edit , highlight and erase and save but not so as this don't work. It also Crashes the software which Dan said my crash reports are being investigated. Please can we have a clear a video as one as been made for censoring but not for larger edits. Thank you as always.
 
cue to the skip point, hit remove and drag the right side of the yellow box to the re-entry point, save,

Thought, would a textbox input be a useful thing?
 
Hopefully your crash has been resolved in the next build, but as loco says, you hit censor, position it, resize it and save.

With respect I followed the advice and ended up with a two minute segment playing backwards and with trial and error I now know that this and the video instruction is irrelevant to my question . In my opinion the instruction for editing needs revising as the PDF isn't to clear.

My take on it for those of us need a black and white instruction and for my mate Dave.
On the main window search for the track you want to edit. Right click on track and click on Track cleaner. Play song to the start of segment you want to edit and right click on remove tab, a yellow bar marks the start of the edit. Continue play until you reach where you want to place the marker to finish the edit and click remove. left click on the yellow bar and drag to meet the second bar. Click the Bin tab and the the save tab. Sorted .
 
Scott meant click "remove" not censor,
 
I did indeed, sorry.

Honestly though I thought this was simple - you drop a remove section and position/size it to suit, then save :-/
