For some reason my laptop is only scanning 1 mp3 at a time when I batch scan for BPM.
Where is the setting for scanning multiple files at the same time?
Thanks,
DJ James

It will also depend on the cpu you have. You need a quad-core cpu before vdj will scan multiple files at the same time.

I have 2 quad core cpu's. A fellow DJ that I work with has the exact same laptop as mine and his VDJ scans multiple files at once.

Can you explain exactly how you are scanning your music file? Because to do multiple tracks, select all the tracks (using mouse click +SHIFT or/and CTRL), and Batch ->
Analyze for BPM option from the same right-click offered menu. Or, Right-click to any of your folders from the Folders List and choose Batch->Analyze for
BPM from the offered menu.

Can I set the amount of tracks that gets scanned at once??
Right now my machine only does 3 at a time where as with SDJ I can scan 8 at once.
Am I missing something here??

On a quad-core, it will do up to 3 tracks at once (the number is automatically reduced if you are using vdj at the same time)
Tests indicated that hyperthreading did not give any further speed improvements for this type of process, so doing 8 tracks at once would actually be slower in total compared to 3 tracks.

That explains it. I was using VDJ while scanning. That must be why it only scanned one at a time.
Thanks for the info.
