Topic: In the zone

I'm sure lots of DJs & entertainers will relate to this; when you are 'in the zone' and everything you do is to perfection, effortless and the atmosphere is electric, you get that BUZZ!!! YEH, THAT!!! That was me DJing at last night's wedding. Not looking for brownie points, the applause, cheers, whistles at the end of the night were more than enough appreciation thank you. Still buzzin' :-)

i feel ya ;-) just did a 30 year high school reunion 80's baby :-) still on that same high this morning from last night..... LuV VDJ8
 
Congratulations to the both of you! Way to go.

What do you think you did this time better than your average performances in the past? Can you put your finger on any things that produced heightened success?
 
Yep, I have to say the audience. Most entertainers perform better when they get good feedback from the audience.

So very true, I've played in clubs pubs weddings birthdays for years and there are those 'Magic' nights where you (the dj) and your audience are one and you play perfectly, the tunes are right, the energy is right, the people and the atmosphere is perfect, it's a high you just can't beat as an entertainer of any sort. The past few months I've been playing in Balham most Saturday nights, and the crowd are always happy , so I feed off the crowds natural happy energy which influences my choice of tunes. 95% of the time I get it right and always get compliments during and after the set. That natural high will last me a few days. We need more positive stories like this on here, so thanks for starting us off @DJSoulman
