is there a way to do this....Lets say i loaded mary j blige, is there a way chubb rock treat em right would be added to sidelist. Or any other song that i choose to have put in the side list. So when i load chubb rock treat em right it also put the may j song in side list?

Load the songs into automix play-list then click on the radio button on the automix header, and select save as a named play-list. Then look in the lhs explorer panel for play-lists, click on it to show the contents. Now just right click on the play-list and choose the required option.

not what im looking for

I like that idea!

Or even a way that when you hover over your Mary J Blige song a bubble would pop up and show you those other songs.. I see what you mean but if that isnt what you would want to do every time that sure would clog up the sidelist.

Just a thought. Wouldn't that decrease your creative juices? I prefer to feel the crowd and not play the same songs always associated with one another!

Add a action poi to your first track, the repeat_start bit is there to add a tiny delay as the sidelist_add happens before the search is performed.

search "Quantic - Prelude" & repeat_start "searchCmd" 1000ms 1 & sidelist_add

I think a Vfolder would be a better/easier/less time consuming way though.

No because if im doing an adult party for black people flipping songs that used the same beats...like im always flipping 'Im not feeling you - yvette Michelle and Big Mama thing lil kim....so i would like to group certain songs to pop in the sidelist when certain songs are played.

I've got lots of 4, or 5 song mini lists based on compatibility (key, beat, energy, mood). I organize them as say 70s1, 70s2, 70s3, ..plus I have my main folders which I can browse in the vdj explorer window, such as 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, Male, Female, Groups, Motown, Reggae, Club etc. The main folders exist on my hdd, and contain lots of songs to freshen up the basic mini lists.
I work in groups of 4 or 5 songs of a similar type.
People often distract me, hence my mini lists ( and automix ) are vital.
I seem to have so little time.

I don't always use strictly compatible songs, an example of two I often play side by side is Barry Whites You're My First and Candi Statons Young Hearts.

Note: If someone wants a song they might get it straight away as a dedication, and then I might move into yet another mini set.
If I have the time I'll look in the vdj explorer compatible song folder for a suitable follow up.

For that kind of thing, I just add the info for each track to the comment tag of the other - so whichever one I search for, the other one also comes up.

What I'm doing is old fashioned. it's based on my record, and CD flight cases which had very similar sections. I've been doing this a long time. I couldn't change now, even if a better method existed.
The equivalent of the mini list was a specially burnt CD.

This method does work well with the Amazon 100-150 song packs.
I can just drop, say 100 Motown songs straight into the relevant hdd folder.
