I would like to have the results from the program Mixed In Key, to be readed in VDJ 8. It adds a BPM and Key column in the tags and also an Energy one but neither from them is used from VDJ.
I know VDJ reads BPMs and Keys but i think Mixed In Key 7 is closer to the real keys at least...

I've already mentioned it a few times since VDJ 8 was released.

VDJ 7 had respect for existing keys. If there was one in the tag, it would not be changed.

In VDJ 8 we should at least have the option to disable or bypass the key detection.

It is possible to get the Camelot keys generated by Mixed in Key to show up in VDJ. In the Mixed in Key settings there is an option to write the keys at the beginning of the COMMENTS field. It would be great if VDJ8 added a Camelot KEY field that was able to read the keys from Mixed in Key.

What I do love with MIK is that it displayed multiple keys within the songs if there are any with the rhythm waveform in different colors.
 
dont do the color thing as I spent massive time color changing my music. You know you can select the what you see on the screen like, bpm and title and even key the songs in right. this allowing you to color it if you wish..

I was thinking about natural color where you can see on the rhythm wave where vocal are etc







 
+1, I want to disable the VDJ 8 key detection and use MIK. Instead having to write the key to Comments field and then rework every skin just to get that to show up is just not fun.

Also would like to get rid of VDJ overwriting the BPMs too with that "averaged" value. Really hate that feature. Grids, BPM, etc worked so much better in 7.
 
The post is 5 months old, we have no responce from the VDJ team... I hope they hear us now
 
I am sure they are reading and listening to us.
 
I use, beside VDJ, two other programs: ableton for the warping and mixed in key. So getting rid of both and integrated in VDJ should be huge ;-)
 
Just bought Mixed In Key. Add my voice to the chorus of those wanting it to integrate easily with VDJ 8.
