Just a tip, do some research yourself if you're starting a business.
What you buy depends on your budget. 5 ways (that I know of) to DJ:
1) Controllers -- they're essentially remotes for the software. Pricing ranges from $40-$2000 USD
2) CDJ -- They're CD players, essentially. A pioneer setup can go for $7,000+ USD
3) DVS -- Digital Vinyl system. Essentially you have turntables that connect with your computer.
4) Vinyl -- you have two turntables and you use Vinyl records.
4.1) If you're wanting to go with CDJ, DVS, or Vinyl you're going to need a mixer. Prices range.
5) Computer -- You DJ off of your computer. Pretty straight forward. Computers...well you can do the research on that.
You can either buy or rent a sound system. They, like the djing hardware, can be pricey. $1,00-10,000 USD
You also need music. Lots of it. You can buy off of beatport, amazon, itunes, whatever. You can also sign up for a record pool if you want.
Things you need to research for yourself:

One final note:
If you're new to Djing and have no idea what you're doing, use Youtube. There are MANY tutorials on basic mixing, transitions, and more advanced techniques.

or do your Start from beginning with No Piece of Equipment.

You must look for the right Model by the Single- /Double CD-Player that can Play/ Normal Audio CD and MP3 CD/
and have direct a USB Port to play the MP3´s from Usbstick or HDD Harddiskdrive.
For Mix you must have a Mixer/Midicontroller or a DJ Software with a good Soundcard
