Works as a standalone mixer

The one I've found so far is the Herc RMX2, it ticks the boxes, are their any others you can think of, you don't need to describe just post a model and I'll investigate.

Doesn't work as a (truly) standalone mixer - it's only USB powered.

I don't think the RMX2 acts as a standalone mixer.

I have one, and it needs to be connected to a computer running some kind of DJ software for it to mix anything.

what 5VDC, or needs a software?

From Digital DJ Tips review:

"the unit is in no way a "standalone" mixer; to start with it's powered by the computer via USB, and Serato needs to be running and set to "thru" mode for any sound from your external sources to play. Pull out the USB, and everything stops."

Plus from DJ Tech Tools review:

" it isn’t a true mixer in the ‘standalone’ sense. It needs Serato DJ to work – there’s no mains power option, just USB, and must be hooked up to the software to do anything at all. It’s really a controller for Serato DJ’s internal mixing engine, and basically useless without it."

looks like its a AA VSM4.1 is pretty much it at that price, cheers fellas.

I'll have a route round gumtree but it's a bit early for the got it for xmas and didn't become a youtube mega star quitters market.
